I just finished making my second batch of these gorgeous truffles, and I thought I'd share the recipe with you guys!
Please note that I use the English measurements, so if you want to convert them online then a good website is here , but I reckon it should all work! I forgot to take pictures at the actual stages of cooking, but still added some yummy ingredient pictures.
So lets start cooking,
Kerrys Delicious Biscuit Chocolate Truffles
To make these gorgeous looking truffles you will need:
20g Unsalted butter
Half a packet of rich tea biscuits (smushed up into breadcrumbs)
and some cocoa powder for rolling
Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl set over a pan of simmering water,
once melted mix in the cream bit by bit, the mixture will look horrible and stiff with the first addition of cream but once the rest is added it will loosen up and look more edible and lovely, add the vanilla essence and mix in well.
Put in the fridge for 2-3 hours, or preferably overnight to harden.
When firm, using a mellon baller or teaspoon, take some of the mix and roll a small ball with your hands.
Roll the truffles in either cocoa or biscuit crumbs, pop them in a cute little confectionary case, put on a ribbon a voila! a perfect present,
although they generally smell too good to be true and I scoff the lot before they get in the cases!
Enjoy!
If you make these, take some pictures and send them to me I want to see how everyone's turned out :] Or if you added/took away some ingredients then tell me what you did
